At Merrick Motorsports, Mopar is not just what we sell. It is who we are. We make and install parts for the Dodge Challenger and Charger every day, and our customers are some of the most passionate car people anywhere. That is why our founder, Earl Merrick, started a petition asking Stellantis to keep the HEMI alive.

We started this petition in January 2024, and as of October 2026 more than 1,700 fellow enthusiasts have signed. It looks like Stellantis may be hearing us, so keep the momentum going and add your name!

What the Petition Asks

The petition, addressed to Stellantis, urges the company to keep making HEMI engines and to continue production of the current Dodge Challenger and Charger alongside its new electric models. That way Dodge can serve drivers who want a traditional V8 as well as those moving toward electric options.

Why It Matters

The HEMI Challenger and Charger are more than cars. They carry a long Mopar history that many owners cherish. The petition points out that, according to Statista, more than 61,000 Dodge Chargers were sold in the United States in 2020 alone, which shows there is still strong demand for these cars.

Spread the Word

Signing takes less than a minute. After you sign, please share the petition with your car club, your friends and anyone who loves the sound of a HEMI. Every signature helps show Stellantis how many people want these cars to stay.
