Ford Frostwarden Bronco: 1,200+ HP Megazilla 2.0 at SEMA

Ford Racing Parts brought a Bronco to the 2026 SEMA Show (Las Vegas Convention Center, Nov. 3–6) that is built around one thing: a supercharged 7.3L crate engine. The build is called Frostwarden, and under the hood is the new take on the Megazilla 2.0 engine, which Ford says makes over 1,200 horsepower and over 1,000 lb.-ft. of torque. Ford is calling it the most powerful crate engine ever created by an automaker. Frostwarden is a one-off show truck and not a production Bronco. Here is what Ford has confirmed, and how to build a trail-ready Bronco of your own from parts we stock.

What is the Ford Frostwarden Bronco?

Frostwarden is a halo build from Ford Racing Parts, created in association with Kincer Chassis in Tennessee. The idea came from a Bronco that could be used for search-and-rescue work in Arctic conditions. That is why the truck is widened and lifted, carries recovery gear on the roof and tailgate, and wears a black-and-mustard theme inside and out, with extra carbon-fiber highlights in the cabin.

Like most SEMA concepts, it exists to show what is possible. Ford has not said it will build or sell the truck, and no pricing for the engine or the build has been announced.

Megazilla 2.0: the engine at the center of it

The original Megazilla is a 7.3L crate V8 from Ford Racing Parts. Megazilla 2.0 adds a 3.0L Gen 6 Whipple supercharger with a bright blue painted cover. Ford points out that this was more than bolting a blower onto the old engine. The program called for:

  • A stronger block
  • A camshaft designed specifically to work with a supercharger
  • Beefier pistons
  • Larger fuel injectors
  • A different belt drive and damper

The result is the over-1,200-hp, over-1,000-lb.-ft. figure that Ford is showing at SEMA. Ford has not published details here about fuel, tuning or whether a Bronco swap kit is planned, so treat the headline numbers as show-floor claims until Ford releases full specs.
