BORLA at SEMA 2026: Kindig’s Shark Bite Corvette Brings the Bite

Some SEMA builds try to get your attention with more of everything. Others start with a great idea and make you stop in your tracks. Kindig-It Design’s “Shark Bite” Corvette concept gives us plenty of reason to pay attention to BORLA’s display at SEMA 2026.

Show coverage places the 1957 Corvette “Shark Bite” concept at BORLA’s Central Hall booth. With inspiration drawn from the 1957 Corvette SS racer and a reported LS3 under the hood, this is a build that connects racing history with a very different kind of modern show-floor presence.

Meet Shark Bite

In its November 5 coverage of Kindig-It Design’s SEMA lineup, CorvetteBlogger identifies Shark Bite as a concept inspired by the 1957 Corvette SS racer. That distinction matters: this is a custom interpretation of a historic racing influence, not a claim that the car is an original Corvette SS.

It’s a compelling starting point. Rather than treating the past as something that can only be preserved behind a rope, a concept like this turns that inspiration into a fresh design conversation. You can appreciate the reference without needing to build a replica.

The reported recipe: 480-hp LS3 and BORLA eight-stack EFI

CorvetteBlogger reports a 480-horsepower LS3 equipped with BORLA’s eight-stack electronic fuel injection. That gives us a specific, documented connection between the build and the brand displaying it.

For anyone who mostly associates BORLA with exhaust, the fuel-injection connection is worth noticing. On this car, the reported BORLA component is part of the engine’s induction setup. Eight-stack EFI and an exhaust system are different pieces of the build, and we’re not going to turn one confirmed component into an imaginary complete parts list.

We haven’t verified this concept’s exact exhaust system, transmission, chassis specifications or complete build sheet. The reported engine and injection combination is already interesting enough without adding numbers or components that haven’t been established.

Why this belongs on your SEMA watch list

A Corvette concept, vintage racing inspiration and a modern V8 make a pretty good combination. Add Kindig-It Design to the equation, and it’s an easy build to put on your list of cars to investigate further.

It also captures something we like about SEMA: the best ideas don’t have to stay on the show floor. You might not be commissioning a Corvette concept, but you can still take inspiration from a build with a clear direction. Pick a theme, choose the parts that support it, and resist the urge to bolt on everything in the catalog just because it exists.

Bring BORLA inspiration to your own garage

Your project doesn’t need a concept-car name to deserve a thoughtful upgrade. If BORLA is on your shopping list, explore our BORLA Parts collection at Merrick Motorsports.

We’re linking to the brand collection rather than suggesting a particular system is fitted to Shark Bite. Browse the available options for your own application, check the detailed fitment information and choose parts around the vehicle you actually own.

Need help narrowing it down? Contact Merrick Motorsports with your year, model, engine and relevant factory equipment before ordering. Show-car inspiration is fun. Getting the right parts for your build is the part that counts.
